About – Why Work with Me
My Financial Freedom, Money and Debt Story
I still remember the moment that sparked my passion for helping others with money. It wasn’t a business plan or a class. It was one ordinary night in middle school, watching my mom at the kitchen table, buried under a stack of bills.

She looked tired, stressed, and overwhelmed. I asked, “Can I help?” and she said, “Why not?” That night, my mom, grandma, and I spread out all the bills and began sorting through them. We stacked them, listed them, and unintentionally created a simple spending plan. Neither her nor I called it a budget, we just figured out what to pay, when, and in what order.
We kept doing this for months. Slowly, things started to shift. There was less panic and more peace. I didn’t realize it at the time, but my mom had just filed for bankruptcy. We’d lost our home and moved in with my grandparents. She never wanted us to know the full weight of it, but I could sense her shame.
That moment at the table shaped me.
When I moved out on my own, that same bill-listing habit became my lifeline. I tracked my income, prioritized rent, utilities, and groceries, and learned, sometimes the hard way, how to prepare for surprise car repairs and medical bills.
Years later, I married the love of my life. One of us was a saver. One of us was a spender. We needed to get on the same page. We had a house, credit cards, cars, and motorcycles—but never seemed to have enough. No money left for fun, no breathing room, no peace.
So I dove deep into financial education—books, programs, conversations, courses. Twenty years ago, we climbed out of a mountain of debt, paid everything off, and found financial clarity. It felt amazing.
Then came the Subprime Mortgage Crisis. I sat down with our kids and asked if they were worried. They weren’t. We had no debt except our house and a full year’s worth of expenses saved. I’ll never forget the relief we felt. That’s the power of having a plan.
Several years later, the Subprime Mortgage Crisis shook the world. I remember sitting down with our teenage kids, asking about their concerns. It was heartening to know that we had made changes in our financial management that allowed our family to thrive, even during such a challenging time. Our children were worry-free because we had no debt except our home and a year’s worth of expenses saved.
We paid off debt, built savings, and I went back to school, debt-free. I earned degrees in Accounting and Business from Colorado Mountain College, and along the way, I discovered a passion for teaching others about personal finance.
I loved seeing people’s shoulders relax as they finally understood their money and loved hearing them say, “I feel hopeful again.”
A few years ago, I told my husband I wanted to become a financial coach. He was all in. So, when I was laid off at the end of 2023, I took the leap and launched my business full-time.
I created the FLOW Coaching Program—a practical, judgment-free space where women entrepreneurs get real about their finances, uncover what’s holding them back, and build a clear path forward.
Because I know what it’s like to feel lost in bills.
And I know what it’s like to feel free.
That’s what I want for you: financial clarity, confidence, and calm. Let’s take the next step together.

Here’s how:
- Have them reach out using my booking page and ask them to put your name in the comments.
- They must meet with me for an initial consult and sign up for financial coaching sessions.
Both criteria must be met to qualify for the referral reward. You will receive your “thank you” after the first coaching session.
I will send you the “thank you” via a Visa gift card. There is no limit on how many “thank you”, you can earn through my referral program!
